Hey guys! So, today I'm going to tell you one of the best experiences of my entire life: my participation in the English Immersion Program! :)
July 3rd. The day I arrived at Brasília to participate in the English Immersion Program for the first time. As I got out of the plane, I was feeling a mix of emotions. I was nervous and excited and happy and apprehensive, all at the same time! I barely knew the other kids and worse: I had no idea what to expect of the program.
All my apprehensions, however, started dissolving in the moment I entered the hotel. Every single kid was EXTREMELY charismatic and welcoming. I made a friend in every few minutes! When we got to Casa Thomas Jefferson, I was already feeling really excited but more excitement was awaiting me. We were greeted by the staff from both CTJ and the American Embassy and they were all SO FREAKING NICE with us! I went to a table with my friends from my state and two other kids from another state. We laughed and joked around a lot. Oops, can't forget to mention that we ate A LOT!! ;)
After eating, we had so many nice activities. We danced, we ran, we sang. It was unbelievable!! At the end of the day we went to Pontão and it was BEAUTIFUL! We took many pictures, we sang and most importantly: we had the BEST TIME OF OUR LIFE! \o/
The first day of EIP was amazing and nothing like I expected. I had so much fun and I felt so comfortable with everyone. It was amazing. I literally have no complaints! I can't wait for the rest of the week and to make a lot of friends! \o/ :D
